iPhone 4 Recall?
As you all may have heard many people are angry over the whole “not being able to place calls while holding the iPhone a certain way” fiasco. Even Consumer Reports has reported that there is an antennae issue on the iPhone. After that report, Apple proceeded to delete every single consumer reports related article on their support forum. In light of the antennae issues and several other faults in the design, many people have asked Apple to recall the device. While recalling the iPhone would make a lot of people happy, it doesn’t seem like it will happen. Research analysts have said that a recall on the iPhone would cost Apple 1.5 billion dollars. A recall would also cost Apple a very valuable reputation. Steve Jobs still denies that there is even a problem with the iPhone antennae so don’t expect a recall or a fix of any sort coming from Apple.
Truthfully I think they have “secretly” recalled the iphone 4.
One because my friend took his to the Apple store because the home button was “sticking” (he was just pressing it really fast so it lagged, but he wouldn’t listen to me). When the Genius did the diagnostic nothing came up as being wrong, and then the Genius used the iphone without an issue. However the genius still replaced his iphone, and the iphone he got back looked different from his other iphone and some of the ones on display.

noooooo, ill be on a plane tomorrow during the press conference. I will say that while i honestly hope Apple does something, i heavily i doubt it. They have denied issues and gone out of the way to keep it that way (consumer reports article deletion and the “your holding the phone wrong instruction”). Also, as i stated above, 1.5 billion dollars and a lost reputation :/
And by a recall i mean solely for the antennae issue. A mass recall on all iPhones, or maybe handing out free bumpers to kinda “fix” the antennae. Im not sure what you would call what happened to your friend.
